Favourite game introductions

I thought of the idea for this thread last night whilst playing Persona 4.

Everytime I play Persona 4 I always enjoy watching the opening cutscene (the one before the main menu). For most games I just watch them once when I first play the game and then just click past them every other time after that.

I was wondering if any of you guys have any that you enjoy watching time and time again?

Oh kudos to MGS 2 also. My PS2 came bundled with that game, at the time it was outstanding, same with Another World.

Nice one on the 'Another World' intro, I' not sure what computer it was that I first saw this but I ended up with it for my SNES. I'm about to make loads of people hate me now but, ever since the ending to Mario 2 on the NES (well, our version of Mario 2) I've loved almost all cut scenes and intros in games.

I dunno why, I just like em'!!!!

I never played Another World myself, but I remember watching my Uncle play it. Watching the intro reminded me of this gem though:

Ahh, Flash Back. I have that on my iPhone just now, it's a bit fiddly with the virtual pad but it still gives me a retro smile while I play. I had this on my SNES too!

I don't have a list but I'll try to remember some I like.


Soul Edge (Blade):
I loved this intro when I was a teenager. The Barry Burton esque narrator, the cheesy music and decent bass line.




FF8:
Because Liberi Fatali is a fantastic piece of music.




Dawn of War 2:
Don't know why. Violence, I guess.




Resident Evil:
For obvious reasons.




Disgaea 3:
"Kids be open minded about evilness."
