Hello everyone.
I joined this site a few days ago after being referred by Patrick, so I figured I’d stop by and introduce myself to everyone. ![]() My name is Stephan; I’m 21 years old and live in the town of Rugby in central England. I’ve been a gamer now for the best part of 17 years, starting off with a Commodore Amiga 500, which my Grandparents bought for me one Christmas. This provided me with many happy years of gaming through my childhood, and I still regularly use it now when I want some retro gaming action. A number of my favourite games were The Settlers, Cannon Fodder, Super Frog, Zool, Project X, New Zealand Story and The Chaos Engine. My current gaming systems are PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii PSP and the DS, and due to a recent love of bargain hunting on Ebay, I have no less than 10 games which I am part way through (or haven’t even started) across all my systems, including Little King’s Story, Mass Effect and Okami. My most recent game completion was Hotel Dusk: Room 215 on the DS. I thought it was a very enjoyable graphic adventure with a well told story and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t played it. I’m a regular visitor to Critical Gamer, and even though I don’t write comments very often, I thoroughly enjoy reading the articles and reviews you guys write. Thanks for reading, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

RE: Hi guys
Hi Stephan, nice to have you with us!
I'm not a little absent minded; my little mind is absent.

RE: Hi guys
Heya Hatterses! Well, the young one anyway! I'm glad you enjoy the site, I know the guys will agree with me that although I don't get the chance to write stuff as regularly, it's great to be a part of it.
I remember Zool! Maybe I've got my retro shades on here, but wasn't the music to that nearly THE BEST MUSIC IN AN AMIGA GAME EVER??? I even transferred it over to tape to play on my sterio!!! I was also enjoying Hotel Dusk for the DS a while back, but I got stuck and just had to put it down! Anyways, I'm glad your still with us and though we don't talk much it's good to see you putting in PS3 time again (surely you two are sick of Red Dead by now?). Oh, and guys, try not to get banned from PSN again!!!

RE: Hi guys
Thanks for the welcome Mr. KrazyFace.
![]() As far as I can remember Zool did have some excellent music, a brilliant game too. How far did you get on Hotel Dusk? I remember getting stuck on a number of occasions. The annoying thing is its one of those games where you can spend hours trying to solve a puzzle, only to end up kicking yourself because the answer was so simple you can't believe you never thought of it before. I'm currently looking forward to the sequel "Last Window: The Secret of Cape West", which is meant to be coming out later this year.Oh, and I only talk to people who I know on home now, that way I can't do anything wrong hahaha.

RE: Hi guys
I honestly can't remember where I got stuck it was so long ago! I ended up chapping on every door like a lost drunkard, rummaging through a cupboard like manic plumber and chatting to a little girl constantly like a deranged peado. So I gave up.
As for Home, I know what you mean! It can be a weird place at times, which is why I like it! |

RE: Hi guys
Not been in here for a long while, what's going on chaps, it's a bit barren.
You should give the Forum tab a bigger button and pimp the floop out of it on your front page. I spend a lot of time in the Eurogamer forums but like to check back in here. Keep up the good work lads. Like the new look BTW. |
