I hate Penny Arcade. With that said, at least the expo is a place to try some new games, get some new news and so on. A friend of mine over in the US actually went to it, so when he got back I quizzed him for information and hands-on experiance.

Most of the lines were so long he couldn't be bothered waiting. Of the lines he did wait in, we had the following conversation:

So yeah, my lack of patience generally left me out of a few things, like portal 2, reach, dragon age 2, etc

Tons of mmos. I played ffxiv, guild wars 2, one whose name escapes me at the moment

What did you think of those?

<friend> says:
I still don't know what i think about ffxiv
They were all pretty interesting

That answer wasn't vague enough for me, add less detail.

<friend> says:
I'll try
Um...
Well, i'll give ff this
I didn't have quite the same feeling of, "ok what the hell am i supposed to do" as i did with ffxi, but i still had a little bit of trouble getting into

I assume it was playing on a monster pc as well

<friend> says:
Probably, it was pretty smooth
Graphics were pretty good

<me> says:
and GW2?

<friend> says:
Guild wars
Um...i never played gw1
So i can't really compare it to that

Look at Eurogamer Expo the public and gamespress get to mix together so that means no press appointments at all what a joke there should be one day at less for the the press before the public come in.
